Matthew is from Plano, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Kinesiology, a minor in Psychology, and a minor in Business Management.

Matthew works as Director of Ninja Warrior at Powersports inc. in College Station, Texas. He has been a part of the program since its start over 5 years ago, and has helped to grow it into a program with over 300 students. Matthew  has over 7 years of Ninja coaching experience with athletes of all skill levels and ages, from kids 3 years old up to adults in their 50's.

Matthew has been building and installing custom obstacles at various gyms in Texas since 2017 and has been creating the highest quality home Ninja Warrior courses since 2020. He has installed over 20 courses all across Texas.

Matthew has competed on seasons 10 and 11 of the television show American Ninja Warrior, finishing 2nd in the Dallas City Qualifier and Dallas City Finals in Season 10, and finishing 2nd in the Oklahoma City Qualifier in Season 11.
